Video Webcasting

The problem with events

If you run conferences, large meetings, seminars or other events then you know just how much budget can be taken up by just getting delegates to the location. On top of that you’ve got to feed and water them, not to mention rent the space in the first place and more than likely pay for accommodation!
With the current emphasis on cost cutting – both in cash and environmental terms – webcasting of events of all types is rapidly growing in attractiveness and importance. If the price was right, wouldn’t you record every meeting you ran?

What is a webcast anyway?

There is much confusion over the terminology applied to webcasting, so let’s make it clear, what we mean by the term.  What we are talking about is video webcasting – moving pictures and sound often supported by presentation visuals. What we are not talking about is a PowerPoint presentation with an audio commentary, which is perhaps more likely to be termed a webinar or tele-seminar. Of course this form of online event has its place, but cannot compete with the power of video when it comes to effectively engaging a remote audience. Typically a video webcast page would include a video window, a visual support window and sometimes a chat or poll window as well as space for branding or advertising. The relative sizes of the elements can be adjusted depending on their importance, with the end result creating a compelling and interactive event.

Clearly, the huge advantage of webcasting an event is the ability to communicate to a large audience across time zones and distance without incurring the costs of their travel, food and accommodation. And the event can be live, on demand, or indeed both.

For some organisations there are technical challenges, such as how to capture a software demonstration for the remote audience, or how to cope with speakers unable to make their PowerPoint presentations available in advance. We have developed the unique answer!

BeThere is a new method of capturing all aspects of events for delivery over `the web live and on demand at higher quality and lower cost than you probably imagined was possible.

For too long webcasting has been an over-priced ‘black art’. BeThere will change all that!
